Team Cherry 3 January was a month to forget, well for most anyway.

After an outstanding, vintage December, the first month of 2012 proved a one hit wonder with a Mikan 1/1 patch being the only highlight of the case.

Team Cherry 3 December is looking like a vintage month!  Week one produced one of the nicest cards that we have seen in any incarnation of this monthly case breaking fest - if you didn't see it, or want to see it again, click below!

Team Cherry 3 started with a bang!! literally, the computer blew up... and thus we lost the 'original film' and had to recap the first 3 boxes the next night, along with the last box of week ones busting.

Week two was not as hoped... although the computer didn't crash, the cards did! We had hoped to hit a few more nice patches - alas. There was a very nice quad legend jersey though so check out the vid.

NOVEMBER RANDOM CARD DRAW

Team Cherry 3 will allow members to be involved in the holy grail of case breaks - a sealed 09/10 Panini National Treasures Case!!

Cost of membership will be $100 a month and you will be a part of SIX case breaks worth more than $15,000!!!

There will be only 29 Spots, Spot 30 will be a jackpot spot, the 'Cherry', given randomly to one lucky member each month. More than one spot can be purchased.

Here are some key points about Team Cherry:

• It will run for 6 months, with a different case being busted each month - we hope to finish with the same 29 people we start with;
• Cases include:
  • 09/10 National Treasures;
  • 10/11 National Treasures;
  • 10/11 Timeless Treasures;
  • 10/11 Gold Standard;
  • 09/10 Classics;
  • Other - Hopefully an 11/12 product...

• Boxes will be busted LIVE every monday night, from that months case;
• All hits will be recorded and shared equally, where possible, amongst members at the end of the month - this will be achieved using random.org, on camera;
• One lucky member will receive the lucky 'cherry' bonus spot each month - meaning they will receive the equivalent to two spots;
• Over the six months we will bust a market value $15,000 in boxes!!;
• All shipping is included FREE;
• Team Cherry members will receieve $5 off one purchase every LIVE break night!
• Team Cherry should begin in November 2011.
• Three random prizes will also be distributed each month:
  • 'All Base' (If wanted),
  • 'All Inserts' (Numbered cards, not including 'hits') and
  • 'Dick Pole', which is the unluckiest member - accompanied with a $25 Voucher & 'Dick Pole' card, which can be mailed around;
• Three payment methods include:
  • $100 per month, via Paypal subscription;
  • $290 per 3 months; or
  • $570 outright.

Now for some of the rules:

1. In the event, and it will occur, that there are less than 30 hits - the hits will be attributed to those with corresponding numbers after the random draw.  For example if you get card 15 and there are only 14 cards you miss out.  If you get card 1, and there are 31 hits then you get 2 cards and so on.  We have chosen products which should provide at least one full round of hits at least!
2. The cherry jackpot spot will always be spot number 30, and will be attributed to a member after the hits are drawn;
3. Payment needs to be made prior to the start of each months case;
4. Toploaders will be provided free, One touches will be an additional cost if wanted;
5. The "Dick Pole" award cannot be won by the same member twice - even if they deserve it;
6. 'All Base' & 'All Inserts' awards will be randomly attributed at the end of each month;
7. All care will be taken in the handling & shipping of the cards but Cherry Collectables is not responsible for Australia Post. We haven't had any issues in 2 years though.
8. If payment is not received you will relinquish your spot that month and it will be available for purchase to other members, then the general public.
9. Every effort will be made to ensure cases are in hand and not delayed, however cherry reserves the right to exchange a case for similar value without notice. (note the exquisite case will be in hand prior to commencement).

It's finally here... 2010/11 Panini Gold Standard! Lets hope it was worth the wait.

We should point out that this is the last month of Team Cherry.  We will re-lauch with a slightly adjusted Team Cherry, and just as this was better than the original - we anticipate the next incarnation will be better again!

The last week of the Absolute Memorabilia case break was fair to middling, not what we had hoped, and certainly nothing like the 09/10 release - but it wasn't a total disaster.

Team Cherry March's 2010/11 Timeless Treasures Case Break began in fair fashion this week but it seems certain that Weeks 2 & 3 will be bigger and better!

Leading into the pointy end of the season i.e the ultra premium product, we have had to go back to the well.  Team Cherry March will see us bust a second case of Timeless Treasures 10/11.  There isn't a lot of nice cases about and the mountain peak is probably as high in this product as any other available right now.

It was a great return for 'most' Team Cherry players in the month of February with many low drafts getting a nice stack of cards anyway!  There was a Westbrook rookie auto for pick number one, and this also snared Backinthegame the best hit (outside the case hit) prize ($25 coupon).

Angpin nailed the case hit, a 1/1 Ryan Anderson Rc Patch Auto and both Nimitz & Novice picked up a $25 coupon for the smallest stack and last pick respectively.

Week two and three haven't reached the heights of week one, but we have our fingers crossed that the 08/09 Upper Deck SPx Basketball case will finish strongly!  I mean thats what Team Cherry is all about - there is always next week!!

Well it was all guns firing straight out of the box, or case to be precise with Team Cherry's February offering 08/09 Upper Deck SPx Basketball.  The top pick went to Backinthegame and in an interesting move the seasoned Team Cherry player picked the Thunder - landing himself a Westbrook Rookie Auto Jsy #'d to 99.
