LaVar Ball has been accused of being an attention freak before especially in regard to his sons and his Big Baller Brand and recent comments from Magic Johnson have confirmed it.
His son Lonzo was a star for 1 year at UCLA before being drafted second overall by the Lakers in last months NBA draft. LaVar has already started a series of crazy claims like that Lonzo is better than Steph Curry, that LaVar could have beaten Michael Jordan back in the day and that LeBron's sons won't be good players.
The media couldn't resist!
Now Magic Johnson in a story last Friday explained "He just said it's marketing. That's what he had to do to market not only his son but the brand. Before I met him I had already thought that. I already knew what he was doing." Magic confirmed.
Has LaVar been using a play from President Trump's bestseller 'The Art Of The Deal'?;
"One thing I've learned about the press is that they're always hungry for a good story, and the more sensational the better...The point is that if you are a little different, a little outrageous, or if you do things that are bold or controversial, the press is going to write about you."
