With The Rock's Miami/Bumble Bee rookie cards going for a record $45,000 this week, we thought it was time to look at the Rock' top cards because not since Hulk Hogan has a wrestler crossed over into pop culture so successfully.
1. 1994 University of Miami Dwayne Johnson - Miami/Bumble Bee
A VERY tough to find card and the only card from The Rock's short football career. The card was originally part of a sheet so the perforated edges make it difficult to find in good condition.
2. 1997 Cardinal WWF Trivia Card
A contentious card but we've included it because of the clear demand out there. These cards are originally from a WWF Trivia Game from the Cardinal board game company.
3. 1998 Comic Images WWF Superstarz Autographs The Rock
This set has 2 base cards of The Rock and uses one of them for the auto. The rest of the set is a bit of a classic with collectors now too.
4. 2001 Inkworks The Mummy Returns Autographs The Rock
Remember when The Rock was in the Mummy? I sure do. I went JUST to see The Rock and when the awful CG Scorpion King came out at the end I was very disappointed 😞 BUT if you'd snapped up The Rock's auto from the 2001 Mummy Returns set you'd have a nice little collectable.
5. 2005 Artbox Doom Autographs Dwayne Johnson
I know what you're thinking: They made DOOM cards from that lame DOOM movie?
Yup, they did. And while the movie could have been better this Dwayne Johnson auto is pretty sick.
