Top 5 Halftime Shows - Superbowl LI

Superbowl 51 is nearly here, the Patriots and the Falcons are soon to lace up their boots for the big game but what about the performers at halftime? Lady Gaga is coming out this year but we thought we would have a look back at our favourite perfomances of the past few decades:

Number 5 - 1991, New Kids on the Block were going step by step back in '91!

Number 4 - 1995, Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Forbidden Eye featuring Tony Bennett, Patti LaBelle, Arturo Sandoval, the Miami Sound Machine.

This halftime show was titled "Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Forbidden Eye" and was produced by Disney to promote their Indiana Jones Adventure attraction at Disneyland that opened later that year. The show featured actors playing Indiana Jones and his girlfriend Marion Ravenwood who were raiding the Vince Lombardi Trophy from the Temple of the Forbidden Eye. The show also had performances by singers Tony Bennett and Patti LaBelle, jazz trumpeter Arturo Sandoval, and the Miami Sound Machine. The show ended with everybody singing "Can You Feel The Love Tonight."

Number 3 - 1997, Blues Brothers Bash featuring Dan Akroyd, John Goodman and James Belushi (also featuring "The Godfather of Soul" James Brown and ZZ Top)

Number 2 - 2007, Prince

What can I say. It's Prince.

Number 1 - 1993, Michael Jackson.

One of the best performaces of the "King of Pop - Michael Jackson". Super Bowl Half Time Show performed in California, January 31, 1993, it includes Jam, Billie Jean, Black or White, We are the World and Heal the World.
