Duality is ever-present in the 2021 Panini Illusions Football release with the mingling of foil and acetate in the cards, as well as dual-image cards making a statement in the base set.
A variety of designs, big and small, as well as a variety of cards and features will be found in the 2021 Panini Illusions Football coming in December. As in previous years, Illusions is dedicated to the NFL’s current stars and rookies as well as the greats.

Each 50-card hobby box will include 5 hits, of which 3 will be autographs and 2 relics. Inserts will differentiate from the base set card stock and foil, instead presenting a plastic look and acetate feel. Collectors will find ten of these per box or rather one per pack.
The base set sits at 100 and features the dual-image cards, using foil stock and a pair of photos on each card. These will be a mix of legends, rookies and current stars.

Trophy Collection is yet again the name of the parallels this year, with colors to include Bronze ( /499), Black Ice (/50), Platinum (/35), Gold (/25), Green (/10) and Purple (1/1). Hobby-exclusives Trophy Collection parallels can also be found where the background dual photo is exchanged for one of another player from the past. These will show up in Wild Card (/25), Division (/10), Conference (/5) and Super Bowl (1/1). These will be short-print cards and tougher to catch.
The acetate inserts will be Clear Shots, Illusionists, King of Cards (only top players), Mystique and Shining Stars and can be expected to fall 10 per box.
A new hit insert is HoloHeroes, predictably featuring hologram tech as well as multiple player images, is touted as the hardest pull of the release.

Returning collections include First Impressions which has rookie autographs together with prime and super-prime relic swatches, with base versions topping out at 299 copies with parallels available.
Limelight Signatures feature high-profile players while Rookie Idols and Deja Vu come with a pair of swatches. Both sets will feature six levels of parallels, numbered to 99 or less.
The estimated release date is 1 December 2021 and with the 2020 Illusions sold out quickly last year, you'll want to make sure you get in quick!
