Continuing with tradition, the 2022 Topps Tier One Baseball forgoes the traditional base cards and focuses only on autographs and memorabilia cards.

Each Hobby box provides 3 cards - 2 autos and 1 relic - in the 2022 Topps Tier One Baseball.

On-card signatures will be found aplenty, with the most abundant autos found under three sets. Break Out Autographs (young talent), Tier One Talent Autographs (specific skills), and Prime Performers Autographs (past and present players). Collectors will find long checklists here, with both notable and lesser known names.

Hard-signed Tier One Autographs (199 or less) are a guaranteed case-hit card with top star names and parallels of Bronze, Silver and Gold Ink.

These are the last of the larger print runs, with ever-increasing rarity now as we go.

Next Level Autographs sit at 50 copies or less (Bronze, Silver and Gold parallels) with top MLB players in a layered design.

Acetate is featured via Clear One technology in the limited range of Clear One Autographs (/10) and Clear One Dual Autographs (/10).

Cut Signatures round out the standard Autographs where collectors can search for 25 one-of-one cards.

Moving on to the Autograph Relics of 2022 Topps Tier One Baseball, expect high print runs and not too many on-card signatures in the Autographed Tier One Relics. In opposition to color changes, the parallels here will have Dual and Triple patches instead.

Dual Autographed Tier One Relic books open to swatches and signatures from two players. And the newest addition to 2022 Topps Tier One Baseball are the Gripping Autographed Relics (/10) with memorabilia as grip tape rather than uniform swatches or pieces from game-used bats.

High-end memorabilia with game-play bat slices (Perfect Contact Autographed Bat Relics) and jumbo uniform swatches (Prodigious Patches Autographs) are found in 5 or less and 10 or less respectively.

Several one-of-one editions - Tier One Autographed Bat KnobsTier One Autographed Limited Lumber and Cut Signature Relics will feature autographed bat barrels and knobs.

Finally moving to the Relics of next years Topps Tier One Baseball release, we can find Tier One Relics (/399) with parallels grabbing two (/25) and three (1/1) patches.

Tier One Legends Relics (/199), Gripping Relics (/10), Prodigious Patches (/10), and Tier One Uniform Button Relics (/5) which offer something a bit different for fans wanting something fresh.

The Midsummer Classic allowed jumbo patch cards to finally make a return, each with a one-of-one and some featuring an autograph.

As per the year before, the annual set releases each year in May for a 4th of May release date in 2022.
