The debut of Panini’s launch into wrestling comes in the 2022 Panini Prizm WWE release, bringing chromium to wrestling fans.
*UPDATE* 1.4.2022 - Twitter user Gellman has been posting some exclusive images of key cards like Andre the Giant, Brett Hart and now The Rock:
*UPDATE* 16.3.2022 - Panini has revealed what Stone Cold Steve Austin's new prizm card will look like in an Instagram post on 3.16 Day! (March the 16th, geddit?)
Very little is known just yet, but let's go through what we know so far.
This shiny new set will feature current and retired stars of the WWE in both vertical and horizontal designs, with Hobby boxes averaging two autographs and twenty-two Prizms.
According to Panini, fans will encounter "an abundance of colorful Prizm parallels that feature the best WWE Superstars of yesterday, today and tomorrow."
Parallels include Mojo Prizm (#/25), Gold Prizm (#/10), and Black Prizm (1/1), with colored borders and rainbow backgrounds aplenty.
Autographs will fall two per Hobby box. Look out for Champion Signatures featuring title holders, past and present, as well as Superstars Autographs for the best of the WWE best.
After a pair of signatures? Look for the Iconic Rivals Dual Autographs which pairs infamous rivals in WWE history.
Likely the toughest pulls (and often the most treasured finds), are the Color Blast ultra-rare cards. Easier to find inserts include Prizmatic Entrances and WWE Gold.
The tentative release date is 6 April 2022 and the base set size is yet unknown.
