A multi-sport set, 2021 Skybox Metal Universe Champions set has elements of the iconic 1997-98 Metal Universe but with some new card designs, all brought to you from the husband and wife team - Jean and Earle MacLeod of Arena Design - that produced the original set over 24 years ago.
With a 150-card base set spanning several sports and eras which includes 50 high-series Metalized cards, collectors can gather up to eight parallel sets, with six serial-numbered Precious Metal Gems (PMG) parallels and two autograph parallels that each showcase the MacLeod’s classic era designs.
And perhaps the most anticipated inclusion are fresh cards from legendary sportsmen Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Wayne Gretzky and LeBron James.
The Jambalaya line returns (1:132 packs) with the standout lenticular foil treatment. These die-cut cards are reserved only for the top tier athletes and all-time greats, and will be tough to chase.
Grab the Blast Furnace insert set to find Tiger Woods and rising talent Sabrina lonescu - or the Fresh Foundation insert where the theme is all about upcoming stars and young athletes like Collin Morikawa and Trey Lance.
Skybox Premium has a great offering of parallels, with 1-of-1 Star Diamonds and a pair of variant sets featuring the Star Rubies design. And collectors will search for the tough finds Platinum Portrait for a rare addition to their sets.
