Debuting last year, the Topps Formula 1 racing card line differentiates itself this year with metallic-look cards on chromium stock.

Fans can expect some new configurations, more parallels and a few hard-to-find exclusives to chase in the 2021 Topps Formula 1 Chrome. There will also be a range of boxes to fit different price points.  From premium Hobby boxes where you’ll find just about everything including autos, to the new hobby LITE format and the smaller Value Box SE which will keep this line more affordable for some.

The base set has 200 cards focusing on the top drivers and moments including subsets of F1 Award Winners, Formula 1 Freshest and Grand Prix Winners - as well as cars and crew on the checklist.

Design and setup is visually the same as the original release but as the name suggests, is printed on chrome stock. Exclusive Rainbow Foil parallels (1 per pack) can be found in the Hobby and select cards will sport image variations.

With such a large base set, fans will also find a lot of parallels, including:

  • Refractors – (1:3 hobby packs)
  • Checker Flag – (1:18 hobby packs)
  • Gold/Purple Refractors – (1:80 hobby packs)
  • Checker Flag Gold – /50 (hobby only)
  • Red Wave Refractors – /5
  • Printing Plates – 1/1
  • Superfractors – 1/1

Hobby LITE packs are the only place to find RayWave parallels, which also come in several versions (black and white, green, gold, red, and black).

Inserts
Interestingly enough, there are no guarantees at the pack or box level. You’ll have to grab a regular hobby box to ensure you find them.

Inserts include Path to the Podium and Redliners (both as 1:6). Plus the retro-style Topps 1961 Sports Cars styled after the classic non-sport set where the cars are the focus.
