For example, Shining Gyarados 65/64 from Neo Revelation shows a fisherman in his tiny boat about to run into the wrath of Gyarados. It's a beautiful, highly valued card that's also one of the first shiny Pokémon to appear in the TCG.

Then there's the ultra-rare Gyarados Star from Holon Phantoms, the holy grail of Gyarados collectors. It's considered to be the highest value Gyarados card right now. And if you like minimalistic rainbow designs, the Hyper Rare Gyarados VMAX 207/203 is a great, affordable option.

On the competitive side, Gyarados ex is also getting more attention in the current meta than people expected. While not top-tier, it’s considered the new Arcanine, an overlooked but surprisingly strong card. Paired with Misty, it can go toe-to-toe with more expensive decks, and it's tanky enough to outlast opponents when things go your way. It’s not for everyone and the meta is bound to change with time, but right now, it's a lot of fun if you enjoy high rolling.
