Jung's career has been plagued with bad luck and injuries: missing 40 games due to fracturing his left thumb in 2023 from a line drive (he still managed to place 4th in the AL Rookie of the Year voting), and then fracturing his wrist in 2024 after being hit with a Phil Maton pitch. Easily his unluckiest injury. This would be his fourth surgery in four years.

If you're a fan of Josh Jung, don't worry, his body isn't fragile. These were mostly freak injuries due to bad luck. Josh is still young and capable of making a comeback. We have yet to see how he looks playing a full season.
