Secret Rare

In Pokemon, secret rares feature unique numbering that goes above the official set size. For instance, if the set size is 100, a secret rare might be 104/100. Secret rare Pokemon cards are basically alternate art versions of existing Pokemon cards and they are much harder to come by, making them highly sought-after. Everyone dreams of pulling one. Popular secret rare cards include: Shining Charizard: Neo Destiny First Edition (there always has to be a Charizard), Lugia: Aquapolis, and Umbreon VMAX.

In YuGiOh, secret rares come with a distinct holofoil pattern, making them extremely shiny and beautiful to look at. In older sets (before Tactical Evolution), secret rare YuGiOh cards were either the first card of the set (#000) or the last cards in the set. Collector favourites include: Forbidden Droplet, Accesscode Talker, Zoodiac Trident, Toadally Awesome and Maxx C.
