In 2018 at the College Football National Championship, Alabama was in a tough position: Their regular quarterback Jalen Hurts was playing badly - so bad that Coach Nick Saban had to take a huge gamble and bench the veteran, subbing in a true freshman, Tua Tagovailoa. The gamble paid off and this led to one of the most savage victories in college football history, with Tua launching a 41 yard walk-off touchdown to DeVonta Smith to win the title.
